They bought two large pumpkins but found that they did not have enough money to last the rest of the week. Sam and Chris sold each pumpkin for $9.00 each. One pumpkin was sold for 25% more than what they paid for it while the other pumpkin was sold for 25% less than what they paid for it. Did Sam and Chris make, break even, or lose money on the whole deal? How much money, if any, did they make or lose on the great pumpkin transaction? Be specific in you answer and make sure you show any calculations used in determining your answer.
http://www.imsa.edu/programs/e2k/MathProb/Oct07Intrntl.pdf
Log onto the IMSA web site with your answer.
November 20th
Field Trip to Museum
